The homes here have real character. You'll find solid brick ranchers from the town's early days, split-levels sitting on wooded lots, and newer construction on the west side of town. A lot of streets feel like a step back in time in the best way — big trees, quiet roads, neighbors who actually know each other.

Different parts of Oak Ridge fit different people. The older neighborhoods near the center of town have the most character — those brick ranchers I mentioned, big yards, streets where folks have lived for decades. Out west, you'll find newer subdivisions with bigger floor plans and two-car garages. Closer to the labs, there are pockets where the commute is barely a commute at all.
