Tellico Village Weekend Guide: Lake Life, Tee Times and Sunsets
Tellico Village is a 5,000-acre lakefront community on Tellico Lake, about 30 minutes from Knoxville. Three championship golf courses, five marinas, a yacht club, and 40 miles of shoreline. This weekend is built around the water.
Day One: Golf and the Yacht Club
Morning: Tee time at Toqua Golf Course, 200 Toqua Club Way. Classic tree-lined parkland golf. All three village courses, Toqua, Tanasi, and The Links at Kahite, were designed by Ault, Clark & Associates and have hosted state championships.
Afternoon: The Yacht Club at Tellico Village, 100 Sequoyah Road. Lakeside dining, drinks on the deck, and boats coming and going. Non-residents can dine at the club.
Evening: Sunset from the shoreline. Tellico Lake sunsets with the Smokies in the distance are the whole point.
Day Two: Lake Day
Morning: Get on the water. Tellico Lake covers 15,500 acres with 40 miles of shoreline in and around the village. Boat, kayak, paddleboard, or fish. Marinas in the village can point you to rentals.
Afternoon: Chota Recreation Center at 145 Awohili Drive for tennis, swimming, and fitness, or walk the village trails. The Rover Run Dog Park if you brought the dog.
Evening: Dinner at Lorenzo's Mexican Grille in the village, or drive into Lenoir City for more options.
